Hit with Hard Times
Since our last Blog, Fiji has unfortunately been hit hard with two Natural Disasters, we had Cyclone Ana and immediately followed by a devastating Cyclone Yasa!
To top it off, as Fiji was still trying to revive from these two acts of Nature, COVID-19 strikes the World placing Fiji in one of its most vulnerable positions ever.
I don't really want to share doom and gloom, although we sympathise and feel sorry to the thousands affected by these acts of Nature and as COVID-19 pandemic evolved, thousands more in Fiji are on their final penny to keep them surviving.
Our Government have exhausted all their funds, including NGOs distributing food rations left right and centre! That now the only way for pure survival is the individual love we have for our fellow humans, love that has no limits and no propagandas, love that is from the heart and not for the sake of cheat or greed!
Many households have stretched their own budgets to help their next door neighbours, charity groups are popping up from several corners to hear the cry and pligh of the people, self-funded non-profitable organisations are working tirlessly around the clock to feed the hungry and dress the poor!
In all honesty, Fiji is in a situation that no one would ever dream to reach? We are blessed with natural land and the ocean, our resources are in abundance, however, our Leaders are to blame, rather than investing in our power, our land and our ocean, some twits believe tourism will rise and bring Fiji back to its former Glory! They way this pandemic is going, our tourism industry is going to crumble and Fiji will have nothing else to depend on but shear wit and heart.
Returning back to the initial purpose of this post, it is to share our small act of generosity to assist in the dilemma we are currently enduring, so please see the link below and rejoice as we are glad to be part of the many hard working givers, carers and individuals who believe in simple kindness
