So, I'm currently out of Fiji and couldn't sleep as before I left we had approval to sell at a Rugby League tournament for Fiji Secondary Schools held at the Marcellin Primary School grounds and luckily enough for us, it's only a stone throw from home.
Due to the time difference I was already cuddled up in my small single metal creaky bed with the heater on as the nights dropped a few degrees definitely curling up the toes....lol. I was chatting to my dear wife while she was busy preparing the delights for tomorrow's game (Saturday the 8th Feb 2020). We ran through operational plans and what will be the best to provide for our future Rugby League Nationals.....
Ice cream a definite, juice and ice lollies to compensate, there are going to be some hungry people so as we had some mechanical issues previously with our equipment, JIMBO's Burgers had to come off the table and due to the time limitation, curry roti parcels was the only viable option as the weather forcast did state stormy weather and rainy......
I drop off to sleep as my Darling wife carries on with prepping and planning and she did eventually get to bed for a short nights kip with worries of what Saturday may bring. I on the other hand was way into lala land but subconsciously dreaming of being at the game, I saw the skies open up and the sun sparkling rays on the ground, I was serving everything and hustlin with the kids and there parents as Bob Marleys tune of 'Singing Don't Worry' belting its lyrics through the speakers and everyone joining in to the famous chorus, I literally felt it was live and it was happening until nature called and I then realised I was thousands of miles away from home.....lol.
It was 3am and there was no way I would be able to doze back to sleep so anxiously I called my Mrs and to my surprise she could hardly talk due to the demand and buzz of children and adults queuing by JIMBO's to grab an ice cream, a drink or some delicious curry roti that went like hot potatoes.......My smile early this morning definitely gave me an extra few heart beats and I said a silent prayer thanking the big man above for providing relief and joy to a long journey of stumbles and dilemmas, we can now say, JIMBO's is definitely on the ground........
